Tackling Misinformation on Its Own Turf: Social Media

Date TBA

Nearly half of Americans get their news from social media. Sharing an infographic on the latest social issue is an expected form of political support or advocacy for Gen Z. How do we ensure the posts we’re consuming and resharing are accurate and authentic? As identity issues, reproductive justice, trans rights are top of mind, when consumers increasingly look to influencers and brands to voice their own perspectives, access to credible information is more critical than ever. This panel explores the crossroads of responsibility between individuals, brands and creators on social media.
