Playing, Learning, Earning: Empowering Girls Through Games

Date TBA

Nearly half of the world’s gamers are girls, but the majority hide their gender identity to avoid harassment – this must change. The gaming industry is already making strides in diversity and inclusion – coalitions such as GVGC and UNICEF’s Game Changers are convening spaces for industry members to advocate for progress towards enhanced safety, diversity, equity and inclusion for all people to joyfully and healthily participate in gaming. Playing is essential to human well-being, it is also a key enabler of learning. Can we harness the power of online games to close gender digital gaps?
