Emotional Machines: AI, Feeling & The Human Body
Can machines truly experience emotions without a physical body? This panel explores artificial emotional intelligence and its capacity to authentically perceive and respond to emotions. We examine AI's current abilities in feeling and simulating emotions, contrasting them with the embodied nature of human emotions. Bringing together interdisciplinary perspectives from neuroscience, art and technology, we delve into ethics, advancements, and the importance of the human body at the center of creative experience in a contemplation of embodied intelligence, AI and human interaction.
