Frenemies: How To Make Climate Adversaries into Allies

Date TBA

Indigenous communities bear the brunt of climate change, political division, and cultural unrest. We can’t overcome these issues alone, but it’s not just a matter of finding white allies—it’s how you get them in the game. The Billy Frank Jr. Salmon Coalition rallied unlikely allies in Washington State to save salmon from extinction, bringing together tribal leaders, scientists, state and local officials, fishermen, attorneys, conservation groups, and local industries. On this panel, you’ll hear what worked, what didn’t, and tips to unite historical adversaries around a common cause.
