Sergei Polevikov is a Ph.D.-trained data scientist, AI entrepreneur, economist, and quant investor with over 30 academic manuscripts. As the author of the popular Substack newsletter “AI Health Uncut,” he provides brutally honest insights from his experiences as a healthcare AI startup founder, WellAI, and private equity investor. Sergei has spearheaded significant AI projects, including developing an AI-assisted Digital Front Door ecosystem for clinics and a pioneering COVID-19 application for clinical researchers. He is an active member of the IFCC’s AI and Genomic Diagnostics International Working Group (WG-AIGD) and a peer reviewer for Springer Nature. Currently, Sergei focuses on AI's role in clinical practice, diagnostics, primary care, and ethical standards in healthcare.

James is a General Partner at Creative Ventures, an early stage VC focusing on AI, healthcare, agriculture, and industrial technologies and a Co-Founder/CTO of Lioness Health. Previously he was on the core investment team at Bridgewater Associates, founded a non-profit consulting firm specializing in microfinance, and did a stint at Google X's Makani project. He's also been a software reviewer for Manning Publications. James has an MBA from UC Berkeley and was a Jack Larson Fellow in Entrepreneurship, an MS in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, and a BA with Honors from Dartmouth. He also holds a Data Science Specialization from the John Hopkins School of Public Health and completed the course track for a PhD Designated Emphasis in Computational Sciences and Engineering at UC Berkeley.
