State, city, and municipal pensions and endowments in Texas have over $1 Trillion in combined assets. While VC is one of the many asset classes these institutions invest in, local VCs have long been a catalyst for building businesses here in Texas.

However, it’s estimated that less than 1% of the capital allocated to VC managers by these Texas institutions is allocated to investors focused on building businesses here in Texas. This session will explore how Texas institutions can support the local innovation ecosystems in our state.
