Social Studies: Gen Z, Social Media’s Dark Side, and Brands
Social media platforms are designed to be as addictive as drugs, accelerating the onset of breaking points in the lives of teens, many of whom wish social media didn’t exist. Lauren Greenfield, creator of documentary series Social Studies, will share with ad exec Margaret Johnson, Goodby Silverstein & Partners Chief Creative Officer, what she learned about the impact of social media in teen lives - and will talk about what to do about it. The talk will explore how teens interact online and what brands can do to counter social media’s negative effects.
