The Dumes at Mohawk Outdoor
The Dumes sound developed as a reaction to the increasingly strange, toxic and cyclical world around them. Frustration and aggression give way to a lighter antagonistic attitude from song to song or even section to section. The Dumes recorded their debut EP with Joe Chicarelli (The Strokes, Cherry Glazerr, Manchester Orchestra) at Sunset Sound and worked up their latest material with Rob Schnapf (The Vines, Elliott Smith, Kurt Vile) at MANT. After being immersed in the LA scene for years, they’ve found a new home in Portland, Oregon. Their live efforts have taken them to the iconic stages of the Troubadour, SXSW, Sundance, and countless venues across the nation with artists like The Warning, Sheryl Crow, Peter Frampton and Louis Post of Veruca Salt. They are currently gearing up for their third trip to SXSW on the heels of new material.
