Willgood at Seven Grand
This performance is part of the showcase that starts on Saturday, March 15 at Seven Grand
Willgood began DJing in 2006 as a way to finance his dream of repainting every car in America the correct shade of red. He quickly realized that DJing paid significantly less than expected, but by then, it was too late—he had already developed an uncontrollable addiction to funky basslines, seamless transitions, and the way a Ferrari’s engine sounds like a perfect looped drum break.
Desperate for guidance, he sought out the legendary DJ Pagliacci, only to be told that DJ Pagliacci was unavailable due to “personal reasons” and “an unrelated but deeply disappointing casino heist.” Left to figure it out on his own, Willgood doubled down, spreading House, Funk, and Dance music the way Enzo Ferrari spread impractical horsepower.
Now, he DJs exclusively in red rooms, in front of fast cars, or in venues that agree to remove all blue lighting upon request. Some say he refuses to play a track unless it matches his favorite shade of crimson. Others claim his red hat holds supernatural DJ powers and that, without it, his transitions would fall apart. The truth? You’ll just have to see for yourself.
