Mikky & The Doom at Speakeasy
Boasting a sound and sensibility steeped in rock ‘n’ roll’s seedier side, Mikky & The Doom serves up a classic, stomping amalgam of glam-damaged ‘80s punk and New Wave, punctuated by Mikky’s assertive stage presence, rabble-rousing lyrics, ear-worm hooks, and sultry delivery, all underpinned by infectious, irreverent anthems that gleefully push buttons and leave no listener indifferent.
This Austin, Texas-based indie rock band draws inspiration from artists like Iggy & The Stooges, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Nicks, Gwen Stefani, and Blondie, crafting a unique sound that has garnered attention in the Austin music scene. In May 2024, they released their debut EP, “Garbage, USA,” produced by Mobley. The EP delves into themes reflecting societal issues, showcased through tracks like the title song, “Garbage, USA.” Mikky & The Doom's eponymous self-titled debut album releases in June 2025 with Equal Songs.
