Trooko is a Honduran-born, LA-based GRAMMY, Latin GRAMMY, and 2022 SESAC Latin Producer of the Year Award-winning producer, mixer and mastering engineer. He cut his teeth working with acclaimed music producer Switch on releases for Beyonce, MIA, Santigold, and Major Lazer.
In 2017, he stepped out on his own to produce Residente’s debut self-titled album. It received 11 Latin Grammy Nominations and won “Best Urban Album” and won the Grammy for “Best Latin Rock, Urban Or Alternative Album".
Since then, he’s gone on to release his own original productions with artists like Bad Bunny, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thalia, and Bomba Estéreo. His musical work can also be heard in a variety of theatrical and cinematic projects including: The Hamilton Mixtape, In The Heights, and the animated film VIVO.
In 2024 Trooko received two Latin GRAMMY nominations for “Album of the Year” for his works on “Las Letras Ya No Importan” by Residente and "Best Alternative Song” as a Songwritter in “Cabecear" with J Noa. In 2025 Trooko Won a GRAMMY for "Best Musica Urbana" with Residente's "Las letras Ya No Importan".
