A proud born and raised Mississippian, b. spoke is a multidisciplinary artist currently growing in the Austin music scene as a southern rapper-- with an emphasis on the southern. b. spoke (a.k.a. "B" by fans) is a classically trained singer with a degree in writing and music performance. They are passionate about storytelling through creative expression, especially on the local level, from production to marketing to the audience she's speaking to. A mezzo-soprano, B has a background writing, arranging and performing across some of their favorite genres: rap, soul, classical, arias, a capella, theater and both sacred and secular choral arrangements.

Through rap, b. spoke has created a poetic outlet to pay homage to the things that have watered them as an artist: her deep voice, her confidence, her queer community and her Black southern roots.
