Die Heiterkeit has been Germany's best-kept indie secret for 15 years now. What started out as a band in Hamburg in 2010 has become a central part of the indie music scene over the years as well as a favorite with the critics, with singer-songwriter Stella Sommer as the only constant member and bandleader. She has been hailed as one of the most talented songwriters of Germany and Die Heiterkeit's last album "Was Passiert Ist" (2019) proves just that. On March 21, Die Heiterkeit will release their fifth album "Schwarze Magie" ("Black Magic"). At SXSW, the new songs will be presented to a live audience for the first time.
