Stella Standingbear
Stella Standingbear, the first Lakota artist to win two historic awards at the 2023 Indigenous Hip-Hop Awards, is making waves in the music industry. She won Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and Music Video of the Year for her debut single Home Runs, filmed in Oglala Lakota Nation and released during Native American Heritage Month to honor MMIW.
Born in Salt Lake City and now based on Pine Ridge, Stella blends melodic alt-rap, R&B, and pop. She’s been touring non-stop across the U.S. and Canada, reaching millions live and online. Her remix SKODEN has gone viral, expanding her reach across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
She recently made history on On The Radar Radio, performing alongside traditional dancers, proudly representing her heritage. Featured in Teen Vogue, Hot97, and DAZED, she’s a rising force in both Indigenous and mainstream music.
Her debut single Home Runs became a TikTok sensation, reaching #1 on the NCI FM Indigenous Music Countdown (SiriusXM). With a growing catalog and an undeniable presence, Stella is cementing her place in the industry.
