Jason Cuellar is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, DJ, and producer based in Austin, Texas. Known for his passion for Cumbia music and Latin rhythms, he has built a loyal following as “Guira King.” One of his major achievements is "Unidos Por Música," a project sponsored by the City of Austin. Currently, Jason focuses on solo projects while collaborating with other musicians.

Born and raised in Austin, Jason spent summers and holidays in Mexico, his family’s homeland. From the heart of Hidalgo, his family immigrated to Texas seeking a new life. Immersed in both Mexican and American music, Jason developed a deep love for Cumbia, inspired by artists like Los Telez, Selena, and Juanes.

Initially a saxophone player in school, Jason later picked up the guitar, discovering a world of inspiration. Influenced by legends like Santana, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, he crafted a style blending his roots with diverse musical traditions.

Jason is set to perform at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, in March 2025.
