Catnapp's musical spine has always been fixed in bass music. Fluctuating between - just to mention a few genres - breakbeat, drum and bass, jungle, dancehall and pop. One of Catnapp’s biggest motivational forces is to be able to preserve the freedom of bending the boundaries between genres. Taking the focus off existing inside a box, and shifting it to making what feels good, fun, interesting and genuine. Besides being very energetic, one of the most distinguishable characteristics of her music as well as her live act, is that it can be very polarised between cute and scary (maybe even slightly uncomfortable) from one moment to the other. Catnapp explores musical combinations mixed with real life experience stories to create her typical broken yet melodic music, and preserves in a crystal box the unfailing goal to give people something real and tangible they can keep with them.
