FrivolousShara
Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan Shara got into and fell in love with Anime and video games at a young age. When she started making music, nerdy references naturally made their way into her lyrics and production before she even knew what “Nerdcore” was. As she established herself in the scene, people raved about her creativity, versatility, sauciness, and genre-blending sound.
Her unique name, FrivolousShara, symbolizes her personality and paradoxical approach to music—combining carefree, playful energy with deeply introspective themes. Each track she creates is a sonic journey, designed to evoke emotion while challenging traditional genre conventions. Drawing inspiration from both the dark and light of her surroundings, Shara’s music explores themes of personal liberation, identity, and the complexities of modern relationships.
Now, with placements in soundtracks for All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Fighting Game Tournament soundtracks like CEO and Combo Breaker, and performing at conventions and festivals such as Youmacon, MAGWest, and MAGFest, Shara continues to strive to make her mark not only in Hip-Hop in general, but geek culture.
