Born in Colombia Jona Camacho began developing his musical abilities at age 10 as a student at the Music Conservatory of Tolima, where he studied classical music and percussion.
Jona's first EP Sincopado, Vol. 1 was released in the summer of 2016 and in 2018, he signed a worldwide publishing deal with peermusic in the USA. That same year he released his follow up EP Sincopado, Vol 2, followed by his 3rd EP Plastico in 2019. In support of Plastico, Camacho made his first trip to the USA debuting at the KCRW monthly series chido/chevere/cool, followed by three showcases at the Latin Alternative Music Conference in NYC. In May 2020 ,mid pandemic , Jona released his highly anticipated LP Memento positioning him as a leader at the forefront of the R&B movement. This release garnered significant praise from the industry’s top outlets, including Remezcla, CNN en Español, KCRW, Revista Shock and Billboard, which named him one of “17 Male Latin Artists To Discover During Quarantine". He is not only a talented songwriter, musician, and performer, but he also boasts great versatility as a producer of both his own material
and other artists like Manuel Turizo, Manuel Medrano, Bacilos, etc.
