Murdocks
Murdocks formed in a dilapidated public storage facility in East Austin in 2001. The band quickly signed to Hollywood’s now defunct Surprise Truck Records and began recording their unique breed of frantic, catchy, high-energy, punk-infused rock.
Over an intense decade-plus long run Murdocks released 5 records (multiple of which charted on CMJ’s top 50) and hit the road, playing more than 200 shows in 40 states with artists like Cake, The War on Drugs, Ben Kweller Local H, and showcasing in official slots at festivals like SxSW, The Warped Tour and CMJ.
Murdocks disbanded in 2012. The band reformed in 2024.
