Luya (they/them), aka Hierba Malita, is a queer Houston-native open-format DJ based in Austin, Texas. Now a Boiler Room alumn, Luya was originally a radio DJ on KVRX 91.7 FM for years focusing on underground music (non-popular, experimental, but GOOD shit aimed at relating to personal growth) and Blog Director / Journalist writing official coverage. Genres you may hear: R&B Club edits, Jersey Club, Southern Club, NOLA Bounce, Jungle, Footwork, Juke, Reggaeton, and just about anything that resonates and makes your body move.

Luya is also the founder of creative collective FLWRPOT.CO, which actively does official press, curated playlists, featured guest DJ mixes, artist interviews, and community events with live music, vendors, dancers and more.
