Flor
Flor, the artistic name for Flor Jorge, is one of the most promising voices of the new generation. The 22-year-old singer and songwriter, born in Brazil and raised in Los Angeles, began her career as a child when she was already composing her first songs, one of which was recently recorded on singer Marisa Monte's latest album.
Since moving to California, where she has lived for over eleven years, Flor has dedicated herself to writing and producing her music.
Her lyrics intertwine between Portuguese and English organically and joyfully. Her sound blossomed into a fusion of musical styles: from Brazilian roots, Afro Samba, Yoruba drums, and Bossa Nova, to the strong influence of black American music, from Hip Hop to Jazz, Pop, and R&B.
