KUČKA

KUČKA is the solo project of Laura Jane Lowther. A self-powered producer, songwriter and vocalist who has collaborated with artists as varied as Flume, SOPHIE, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Mount Kimbie, Vince Staples and Machinedrum.

KUČKA’s second album ‘Can You Hear Me Dreaming?’ was released earlier this year (following her debut ‘Wrestling’ in 2020) and has been acclaimed by Rolling Stone, The Guardian, SPIN and more for its “digital soul” (FACT magazine) and intimate investigations of queer identity. ‘Can You Hear Me Dreaming?’ breaks through the clouds of introspection into a zone of playful fantasy. The album also reveals the musical partnership between KUČKA and her wife and creative director Dillon Howl under ‘PESH’, a project which debuted in February via UK label and community radio station Foundation.fm.

Last year saw KUČKA supporting Flume at Coachella and across the US and UK as well as debuting an audio-visual experience in collaboration with Bootleg Comics at the Sydney Opera House as part of Vivid Live. This September, KUČKA embarked on a tour Europe and the UK for her ‘Can You Hear Me Dreaming?’ album as well as performing at Ear 2 Ear Festival in Shanghai.
