Louder for the People in the Back - The Power of Community
When Jim Marshall opened the doors to his first store it became the local hangout for young musicians. By listening to them talk about what they wanted, he found a way to amplify their voices and created a sound that would change rock ‘n’ roll forever. Without this community, none of this would have been possible. This panel will explore the role that community plays in driving music forwards and lifting artists’ careers. We will hear from people who are building and supporting strong communities within their city or music scene and how they went about doing this.
