This session will explore 2024 workplace projections for the ever-changing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) field. We will examine barriers that are currently being experienced within the field and discuss a DEI SWOT analysis of what can be expected for the future. We will also dive into the role that technology and particularly generative AI will play in the DEI field including how technology is shifting DEI, how DEI practitioners can use AI to assist with DEI work, whether technology can actually replace DEI practitioners, and how technology is inadvertently impacting corporate diversity and what the implications of the rise of technology will be for DEI efforts.
