Research shows that the most powerful thing the average person can do to conserve the environment is to choose a healthy and environmentally sustainable diet. This workshop will start by exploring some of the impacts of the food and agriculture systems. Next, participants will learn about some of the environmental certifications that exist for foods. They will also learn about the benefits of a diet rich in vegetables and the types of meat options that are most sustainable. Finally, they will learn some strategies for minimizing food waste.
