College Athletes as Influencers: Working with NIL Talent
College athletes, with their built-in fan bases, have always been polarizing influencers in American sports. Think of the popularity of Tim Tebow, LeBron James, Johnny Manziel, Zion Williamson, and Reggie Bush before they stepped foot into the pros. But for so long, neither they nor brands could work together. Now, in today’s dynamic creator economy, their impact is even greater, allowing college athletes and brands to forge partnerships to earn revenue through NIL (name, image, likeness).
Nutrabolt's Director of Talent & Influencer Marketing, Marquel Carter, sits down with University of Texas track and field star Sam Hurley, and Atlanta Falcons RB, Bijan Robinson to explore how athletes are becoming the most sought-after influencers and best practices for both brands and athletes to create the best partnership.
