Presented by Muslim Public Affairs Council

The panel will review Muslim representation in government, news, entertainment platforms, and marketing. From Congress to Hollywood, media framing does not always accurately portray muslim culture or values. Censorship and inauthentic depictions perpetuate negative tropes in pop-culture and politics, and heavily influences what and how news stories are disseminated. Panelists will explore solutions and share their expertise on how mainstream media (journalists, creatives, writers, influencers, government leaders) can improve Muslim representation, thereby enhancing creative content.
