Studies show that 72% of US consumers are interested in using a ‘super app,’ or a single app that allows you to do many things, such as connect with friends, pay taxes, and consume news. WeChat has taken Asia by storm, yet a very different set of regulations, tech, and culture means the same won’t happen in the US. Instead, theme-based super apps, like Google Maps for mobility, Cash App for finances, and Coinbase for crypto, are rapidly rising.
