Islands Lead the Way on Ocean Renewables

Date TBA

Solar and wind comprise only 13% of the grid power, despite decades of effort. Oceans provide a more reliable, predictable power that can help wean us off fossil fuels faster. Leading innovation in this arena are islands, thousands of which are at serious risk from climate change, and dependent on imported fossil fuels. Islands like Bermuda are designing cutting-edge regulatory and financial templates for shifting from diesel to a combination of sun, wind, and ocean. Islands know we need to use Earth's resources together, as they are in nature. And they are showing the rest of us how to do it.
