With almost 743 million people, the European Union has a potential cannabis market larger than the U.S. and Canada combined. Some form of medicinal cannabis is legal in 22 EU countries, and five have decriminalized it. Recently, Germany unveiled a plan to legalize. Around the globe, Australia’s medical cannabis program continues to grow and support for legalization is increasing. Since Thailand legalized in 2022, nearly 6,000 cannabis licenses have been approved. As the U.S. cannabis industry lags, this panel of industry experts will examine the opportunities posed around the world.
