People Have the Power (or . . . Some Do)
More than 750 million people in the world don't have power. What's more, even those with access are struggling. We need to fix that. Almost one-third of U.S. households reported facing a challenge in paying energy bills. Some just go without a/c or heat. Whether we call it energy poverty, energy insecurity, or energy equity, the problem is real. This panel will first discuss the issues exacerbating energy insecurity in the U.S. and around the world relating to corruption, access to capital, and simply identifying the problem and agreeing on nomenclature and then propose a series of solutions.
