Virtual production, using LED video walls on-set to replace backgrounds previously created with green screens and physical sets, is dominating high-end media production. But how do we light the physical spaces and subjects in front of these video walls? From props to people, how do we seamlessly merge the virtual and the real? Lighting for Virtual Production will demonstrate how IBL, or "image-based lighting," can be used “in real life” to create realistic and compelling images. From volume walls to a single 4K TV in a garage, these lighting principles can be applied to all virtual production.
