Jonathan Miller

Jon Edward Miller works with various stage companies on brand strategy and product strategy. Jon's primary focus has been on the development, marketing and sale of lighting products and lighting technologies for entertainment and image creation. This included his work as the co-founder and former C.E.O of Hive Lighting, a Los Angeles based company specializing in the design and manufacture of energy efficient, high performance lighting for the entertainment, photography, motion picture and television industries. In addition to Jon’s current consulting work, he is the Vice-Chair for the American Society of Cinematographers' MITC Lighting Committee.

Before starting Hive Lighting, Jon worked in various roles in photography, film and television production. Primarily as a director of photography for digital, television and cinema productions, but also as a producer, chief lighting technician, photographer, lighting designer, photography assistant and post colorist just to name a few. Since starting Hive, Jon has worked with various companies on overall business strategy, hardware and software development, brand and product development. Jon earned a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California's School of the Cinematic Arts and a BA from Brown University.
