The pandemic, followed by economic uncertainty and layoffs, has provided a disillusioning introduction to employment. As a result, what was once the ultimate goal for many employees — to climb the corporate ladder — is no longer the dream for many young workers. Some GenZers are dismissing corporate culture altogether, abandoning 9-5s, or choosing to be their own boss.
