Sensory Nourishment Through The Clothes We Wear
Clothes are the most intimate artifacts that touch our skin. Everyday our moving bodies are shaping and being shaped by what we wear; a reciprocal dialogue that is tactile, sonic and kinaesthetic. For four years Maureen has been collaborating with neurodivergent individuals, for whom overwhelming sensations can disable their interactions with the world around them. She will share excerpts from their lived experiences, invite the audience to reflect on their own clothing choices, and introduce her evolving design process that consciously crafts sensations to improve the wearer’s well-being.
