We are in a charged moment. Education leaders, teachers, and librarians are facing attacks from far-right activists. Conflicts that began most visibly in Texas (and TN and FL), are now surfacing around the country. Parents, often "school moms" are pushing back against "flipped" school boards, book bans, and attacks on LGBTQ+ and students of color. Two moms pulled into the culture wars and a Black principal falsely accused of "the implementation of critical race theory" have lessons to share.
