Designing the Social Infrastructure of Community

In a time when our society is being bombarded by artificiality and is facing a widespread epidemic of isolation, the significance of "social infrastructure" that fosters genuine human connections is critical. Scientific evidence shows that the social connections and physical interactions that stem from our built environment help form who we are and are pivotal in learning, shaping memories, and fostering better health and well-being. This session explores the science of human behavior and the meaningful impact of the designed places that bring people together to strengthen communities.
