States, the federal government, and industry have combined to bet of billions of dollars on EVs; indeed, they’re betting the planet’s future on the idea that American EV uptake will be enormous. Yet it's far from a sure bet. Big data can make it a sure bet, and it must. Data sharing can ensure charging stations are in the right place, supply chains are ready, and that we’re getting promised emissions reductions. If EVs are to succeed, governments must leverage big data.
