Diversity, AI, and the Future of Hollywood

Mar 12, 2024

11:30am – 12:30pm CT

The WGA, DGA, and SAG-AFTRA negotiations have raised many concerns around the use of AI in Hollywood, from replacing human creators to fostering bias in content. At the same time, the Supreme Court ruled against affirmative action in colleges and five top DEI execs in the entertainment industry have been laid off. This panel will explore the myths and realities of bias in AI with regard to generating content, the need for and limitations of diversity programs to democratize creators’ access to the industry, and how Hollywood will make creative content more diverse and inclusive moving forward.
