Reel Money: The Art of Indie Film Financing

With the changes in audience consumption and streamer spending, financing an indie film is more difficult than ever. Filmmakers must strike a balance between creative vision and commercial viability based on distributor demands. How will this affect the diversity of films being made (and the diversity within such projects)? This panel will cover the pre-sale model, tax credits, loans, and equity and gap financing, as well as the ways financing has impacted creative decision-making throughout the industry.
