The cannabis industry has experienced a remarkable evolution in recent years. Legalization and regulatory reform has shifted public perceptions and allowed entrepreneurs to build legal commercial cannabis businesses, stimulating economic growth across the United States. The lack of social justice and equity in the industry has once again put marginalized communities and the victims of the War on Drugs in the crosshairs. Access to capital, compliant property and affordable legal services are too often out of reach to those who bore the brunt of over criminalization and incarceration.
