The idea of maintaining a quality of life that evokes the ‘American Dream’ is slipping through the grasp of many. The issue is universal, but the challenges are unique to communities across the country. Differences in geography, industry, history, culture, and approaches are distinctive as the leaders working to make life in cities affordable. Some cities need to make the cost of living cheaper, while others are trying to attract jobs with high wages to retain and attract talent.
