Arches
Formed in the fall of 2020, Arches is a Hong Kong-based band that initially consisted of vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Jack Ip and drummer Takuro Cheung. In 2023, they expanded their lineup to include guitarist Hugo Fu, bassist Eqqus Lee, guitarist/producer Edward Chiu, and backing vocalist Wayne Ip, forming a six-piece ensemble. Drawing inspiration from influential acts like Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, and Autolux, Arches injects a fresh perspective into alternative rock and shoegaze. In March 2023, Arches has been invited to perform at the Clockenflap music festival in Hong Kong, sharing the stage with acclaimed acts such as Black Country, New Road, and Balming Tiger. In addition, they have also been selected as a featured artist in Spotify Asia's Radar 2023 program. The band is currently in the process of creating their much-anticipated debut album, which is scheduled for release in 2024.
