Born & raised in one of Toronto’s east end housing projects, Shantel May embraced her surroundings from an early age and used music to help her through hard times. Not one to show weakness, she’s spent her life building a wall around her comfort zone, music is the ladder that has helped her get beyond that wall. Shantel has gone from growing up singing covers in her building’s stairwell, to performing around the world with DVSN on Drake’s tour.
