BODINE at International Day Stage

Date TBA

Bodine Koehler Peña (aka Bodine) brings a kaleidoscopic sensuality to her music. Having lived in Amsterdam, San Juan, New York, and Miami, the influence of these cities manifests in her eclectic, globe-trotting sound. With notes of R&B, reggaeton, and Afrobeats, Bodine distills these styles with precision and inventiveness on her lush new EP Quemo Lento.

The project defies simple categorization, instead focusing on mood and texture to create cinematic, emotionally tonal tracks. One minute there will be a flash of sunny dancehall, the next a blast of buoyant Jersey club. Quemo Lento explores the slow-burning duality of pain and pleasure: a fiery, feminine sense of sensuality, but also the smoldering pain of heartache. “Embracing all that has brought me to who I want to be—it has made me grow as a person, as a woman,” says Bodine. Ultimately, the EP captures both the hardships and the joys that help us flourish into the fullest version of ourselves—and it welcomes an exuberant new era in the journey of an artist on the rise.
