Maddy Davis

Mar 13, 2024

8:10pm – 8:50pm CT

Palm Door on Sixth Patio

Maddy Davis, a middle kid hailing from the suburbs of New Jersey, spent her teenage years throwing concerts in her mom’s basement with pockets full of round-trip NJ transit ticket stubs. Now an artist, songwriter and producer, Davis masters raw and emphatic indie rock through a pop lens, bringing an addictive, nostalgic angst to the forefront of her storytelling. Drawing on her experiences Davis, through her music, allows her childlike spirit to immortalize. Davis’s debut EP, MUD, connected her back to her roots while acknowledging how many she still has to plant. Her follow up project Would You Object for a Happier Life? dropped in 2023 and was described by SHEESH as “if Taylor Swift’s Speak Now era had a child with The Balcony album by Catfish and the Bottlemen...Surrounded by a community of truly impressive creatives, this project has only good things going for it”.
Last October, Maddy performed at Junior Varsity’s coveted A F**king Weekend in NYC alongside BENEE, Momma, Roy Blair and James Ivy amongst others. She’s also opened for Leyla Blue, Gatlin, and Luke Wild, developing a scene of fans looking to mosh, cry, and everything in between.
