Asimov at Hotel Vegas at Volstead
Asimov is a musical project that blends shoegazing with various genres such as post-rock, post-punk, and dreampop. The project began in early 2015 but underwent some changes, both in terms of members and vision and sound. Since 2018, it has solidified its lineup, which it has maintained to the present day.
At the end of 2019, they released their first full-length album titled "Todo Lo Que Buscamos es Desaparecer" ("All We Seek is to Disappear"), which features 7 tracks that evoke nostalgia and melancholy through reverberating sounds and sweet melodies. The release of this LP marked a turning point for the band, reaching over 50,000 streams in its first month on Spotify.
Seeking an alternative to the impossibility of holding concerts, in 2021 the band released their first live film: "Un no-lugar para construir una casa", a live session that would serve as a watershed moment for Asimov, first as an epilogue and monument to their first album, and at the same time, a beginning for the band's new future goals.
In May 2021, the band was invited by the internationally renowned American radio program KEXP to be part of the 10th anniversary celebration "El Sonido" from KEXP.
