Parker Woodland at Palm Door on Sixth
In exactly one year, indie-rock trio Parker Woodland has gone from a punk rock pizza joint to one of the biggest stages of SXSW.
The band built a buzz off their anthem "The World's On Fire (and We Still Fall in Love)," DIY music videos, and joyful, sweat-soaked live shows in Austin, TX. Founded by fiercely expressive frontwoman Erin Walter, a justice activist from the Girls Rock Camp scene, with Andrew Solin (Belcurve, Nogood Boyo) on guitar and Keri Cinquina (Butch County, Meg Hentges) on drums, the band's emotionally charged songwriting feels both timeless and of-this-moment -- somewhere between pandemic survival mode and a triumphant escape to the unknown.
“Songs about finding joy in the midst of world-crumbling chaos. Who knew it would be so fitting?!” - KUTX
Parker Woodland will release its anticipated debut album in Summer 2024 and is seeking to build its team (label, management, booking, sponsorships, etc) at SXSW 2024.
