Noah Faulkner is a sixteen year old pedal steel guitar player from Austin Texas. Noah began making videos on Instagram and TikTok in early 2023 and quickly went viral for his clever interpretations of new wave and post-punk covers with his younger brother Nate. The brothers with their dog Kara post daily videos.

At the age of 9, Noah taught himself the basics of piano, and began his formal study with Bukka Allen at age 10. Soon after, Noahs interest turned to the pedal steel guitar. He started playing pedal steel at age 11, after Bukka connected Noah and Lloyd Maines. Lloyd helped Noah find his pedal steel guitar and gave him his first and only lesson. From there, Noah taught himself by watching videos of Lloyd and Buddy Emmons, and listening to other country music legends.

Noah’s page has grown to over 60,000 followers. He regularly engages and gets shared by famous musicians from bands like REM, Cocteau Twins, Talking Heads, Echo and the Bunnymen and Neko Case. Noah plans to continue sharing his love of pedal steel through his videos, albums, collaborations and playing concerts.
