A Dallas native, Gus Baldwin first came on the scene cutting his teeth in Denton based legendary psychedelic ensemble Acid Carousel before moving to Austin. Trading in his paisley shirts for a tallboy and a 4 track cassette recorder, Baldwin burst onto the Austin scene with his debut EP "Thriller II", out on his own label GetWithIt!, establishing himself along with his band, The Sketch, and the heaviest of hitters in the cut throat Texas Rock n' Roll circus. A frequent collaborator or The Black Angels and other Austin staples, Gus is always up to something, and he likes it that way.
